Gilbert Ajebe Akame | Executive Director – Cameroon Section
Gilbert Ajebe Akame is passionate human rights lawyer and youth advocate with more than 10 years’ experience working on access to justice and human rights education projects. He is specialized on prisoner’s rights, children’s rights and juvenile justice. He has initiated projects including the legal aid clinic project in Buea providing pro bono legal representation for indigent detainees and human rights education for communities within the Southwest region of Cameroon. He also works to promote knowledge on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Agenda 2030 to local communities and schools. He holds a Master of LAWS (LL.M) in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and a Master of Philosophy (Mphil) in Peace and Conflict Transformation. He is a co-founder of Contra Nocendi and Director of Contra Nocendi Cameroon.

Blaise Chamango is an avid human rights defender with over 10 years of experience. Loaded with extensive knowledge in human rights, democracy, peace building and development and driven by a commitment to social justice Blaise facilitated access to justice to more than 500 vulnerable impecunious persons. Movited the need for social change, Blaise has has helped more than 20 public, private, and social sector organizations advance their missions by leading initiatives to strengthen operations, enhance capacity, and improve cultural competency through peace building initiatives.
